Our Church
Unity Fellowship Church of Baltimore, a Christian church that worship in the African-American style, is dedicated to social justice and committed to bridging gaps that have long caused separation, segregation, and oppression while evolving into a positive force within our communities. We are a Bible based, Bible believing Church rooted in the philosophy of Liberation Theology, which calls free people to value and respect the distinctive humanity and right of others to be free. It is a doctrine dedicated to binding salvation to social justice in order to free people from dependency on systems and belief that oppress or dominate. We feel it is our duty to work toward the eradication of all forms of subjugation, through the biblical principle of love, inspiration, faith, and empowerment (LIFE).
Our vision is to establish a place where everyone can come and be part of a caring extended family. To provide a space open to all who wish to create an atmosphere of love, acceptance, and respect while developing their personal and spiritual relationship.
Our mission is to bring the liberating gospel to the poor, the captives, and to provide services within the community that will bring comfort and guidance to all of God’s creation through:
- Providing spiritual growth through liberation theology, without prejudice and or judgment of race, creed, color, religious belief, sexual orientation, gender, gender identification, social or political standing.
- Feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and sheltering the homeless
- Visiting and caring for the sick, the shut-in, the physically challenged, the aging, the imprisoned
- Comforting and praying with the distressed and touching all those who desire our compassion
- Affirming and empowering the disavowed and disenfranchised
- Loving and respecting everyone
