THE ORGANIZATION
Equality Maryland lobbies in Annapolis and across the state to create equal protection under the law for LGBT Marylanders and their families; to eliminate prejudice and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity through outreach, education, research, community organizing, training and coalition building; and to utilize our Political Action Committee (PAC) to elect fair minded candidates.
Hearts & Ears, Inc. is a non-profit organization for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning individuals with mental health issues and concerns. We warmly welcome all sexual and gender minorities. People who are dually stigmatized can have a difficult time finding full acceptance from others. Hearts & Ears aims to be a community where GLBTQ persons can feel safe, supported, and welcomed. Friends, family and community members are encouraged to attend.

"Our Mission is to advance the empowerment of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning individuals who utilize mental health services through support, advocacy, raising awareness and educational opportunities."
The Human Rights Compaiign (HRC) seeks to improve the lives of LGBT Americans by advocating for equal rights and benefits in the workplace, ensuring families are treated equally under the law and increasing public support among all Americans through innovative advocacy, education and outreach programs. HRC works to secure equal rights for LGBT individuals and families at the federal and state levels by lobbying elected officials, mobilizing grassroots supporters, educating Americans, investing strategically to elect fair-minded officials and partnering with other LGBT organizations.
Mission: Mautner Project is committed to improving the health of women who partner with women including lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals, through direct and support service, education and advocacy.

Vision: Mautner Project envisions a health care system that is respectful of and accessible to all without regard for their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. Our vision is a society in which all individuals are empowered with the knowledge to utilize these resources and to make appropriate choices for themselves.
The National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC) is a civil rights organization dedicated to empowering Black lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people. NBJC’s mission is to eradicate racism and homophobia. As America’s leading national Black LGBT civil rights organization focused on federal public policy, the National Black Justice Coalition has accepted the charge to lead Black families in strengthening the bonds and bridging the gaps between straight and LGBT people and communities
Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays promotes the equality and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons, their families and friends through:

· Support to cope with an adverse society
· Education to enlighten an ill-informed public
· Advocacy to end discrimination and secure equal civil rights.

PFLAG provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity. Keeping families together is the mission of PFLAG. Our family values stress education, understanding, acceptance, and support, but most of all love, thereby empowering our children — straight and gay — to lead happy and productive lives.
